BACKGROUND OF THE ORGANISATION:

RURAL ENVIRONMENT AND EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY (REEDS-India) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization registered under the Societies Registration Act, Government of Andhra Pradesh which Registration No is 568/94, REEDS India have been working in the Field of Health, Education, Environment, Peace Building, Women empowerment, and various livelihood Programmes Since 1995. The REEDS India Organisation is the pioneer in various Public Health Awareness Programmes for preventing the spread of various communicable diseases among the public through Various IEC/BCC strategies.

Strategic objectives of REEDS India
1. Increased provision of essential life-saving health and nutrition services in conflict-affected communities.
2. Increased access to quality education through providing age appropriate learning opportunities.
3. Providing a safe and protected environment to conflict-affected populations by preventing and responding to psychological distress violence, abuse, and exploitation.
4. Improve resilience and empowerment through capacity building and provision of appropriate livelihood opportunities.
5. Strengthen local communities’ capacities to promote an agenda for peace, human rights, and women empowerment.
6. Optimize health benefits of sustainable use of safe water and basic sanitation and waste management.
